V I S A   I N F O R M A T I O N

TOURIST VISA

To get a Tourist Visa to Russia you should submit the following documents to the Consulate:

1. Duly completed visa application form (one per person) obtainable from the Consulate or from Travel Agencies. Application forms are free of charge.

2. An original of the passport valid 6 months after the end of the trip and with at least two blank pages.

3. One recent passport sized photograph on a photo paper attached to an application form.

4. An Original Tourist Voucher (Exchange Order) from a Danish Travel Agency or a Tour Operator stating the reference number of the Russian Tourist Company, as well as the passengers names, the full itinerary and the places to be visited and a confirmation that all services are paid in full. The Voucher should be stamped and signed by an authorized person.

5. A confirmation of acceptance issued by a Russian Tourist Company accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Russia showing the tourist reference number given by the Russian Foreign Ministry, as well as the names of the applicants, passport information, the dates of entry and exit, the itinerary and the means of transportation.

A hotel booking only is not sufficient.

6. A proper medical coverage or other medical protection plan valid in Russia stipulated by clause 16 of the Questionnaire (Application form).

It is possible to enter Russia for a child included in a parent's passport. But it must be mentioned in the confirmation of tourist acceptance that a child is traveling with a parent.  The name of a child and the date of his/her birth should also be indicated.

An individual passport is obligatory for the child from 16 years old.

Visa for children included in parent's passport is not required. In that case children are included in their parent's visa.

Photos of the children included in passport and other requirements are not obligatory.

The child can also be included in the passport of another person apart from parents.

The validity of the passport beyond the stay in Russia must be 6 months.

A non machine-readable passport is valid as long as it is valid in your country (the Consular section has samples from Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

You should apply for your Visa not earlier than 3 months before your intended departure.

The visa fee and time of processing – see on the price list. The payment should be made in cash or by cheque and only in DKK.

Visa processing fee is not refundable.

The Embassy reserves the right to call the applicants for a interview and to ask questions concerning personal, financial, business, corporate issues as well as with your Russian contacts and partners.

The Embassy is not responsible for any misprints and mistakes in the visas not brought to its attention before departure from Denmark.
