The Agreement between the Government of the Russian Federation and theGovernment of the Kingdom of Denmark on the Facilitation of the Issuance of Visas to the Citizens of Russia and Denmark, signed on May 27, 2008, enters into force on October 1. It establishes for the citizens of Russia and Denmark the same visa rules as those set out in the similar Russia-EU Agreement of May 25, 2006, including the size of consular fees, grounds for fee exemptions, and the length of procedures for processing visa applications.

Direct requests from the Russian host organizations should include personal data of an applicant (name, date of birth, passport number, citizenship), information about the Russian organization (name, tax number in the Russian Tax Service, address, contact telephones), the purpose of the trip of the applicant, dates and itinerary (route) of the journey.
According to this agreement citizens of the Russian Federation or Denmark, holders of valid diplomatic passports can enter, leave and transit through the territories of Denmark or Russia without visas and stay there for a period not exceeding 90 days per period of 180 days.
